So I caught some Cup Fever last night and decided to stay up to watch the Wings game. Even when down 2-0 I had that feeling that they'd be back. Then I got punched in the gut as with 1 minute to go and down one Hossa slapped the free puck into the net just as the linesman mistakenly blew the play dead. Ah!!! the pain!! We got QUACKED! Go Wings!!

Quacked!!
So I caught some Cup Fever last night and decided to stay up to watch the Wings game. Even when down 2-0 I had that feeling that they'd be back. Didn't watch it, but got the fever for the first time in YEARS. Bought C and E some street hockey sticks and one of my students is hooking me up with some of his old gear when he was a lil tike. It's bringing back memories of 5 below, glassy lake, frozen toes, neighborhood rivalries (Vic Vanmeerbeck).
oh yeah - there's an inline league in Fort Wayne that I'm heavily considering playing in.
Only in hockey can the number 8 seed make this kind of run like the Ducks are making with a hot goalie.
Ben Brus and I are considering getting geared up in red and white and heading the Honda Center to try and scalp some tix tomorrow night. Needless to say, tix are sure to be less than doing the same outside the Joe. If we get in, we'll represent Hockeytown well!
