Memo to Leyland: A closer is someone who strikes fear into the opposing team's hitters, who comes in when the game is on the line, and shuts them down. It is not the guy who comes in when the game is on the line and gives the other team a second chance. Ahhhh!!
It was a DARK KNIGHT last night for us boys last night, both at the theatres and after at home, finding out that D-town's Cats have one last life to spend today at 1:05. Win, we're still in by a very LONG SHOT, lose, it's over.
I out 99% blame on Leyland. If you've watched closely, he has made some serious BONEHEAD moves this year. Ex. like you've said, letting an 88 tops mile/hr fastball closer finish off a game.
I don't get to see any of the games on TV out here, but I follow online most nights. It seems to me like they lose a lot of games by one run. What are the local fish wraps saying? And how was Dark Knight Jeffrey? As good as Beavis and Butthead? Classic!
