I don't know why but I've been fascinated with the Discovery mission, you gotta check out the videos on the NASA website. Man! why didn't I join young astronauts!

I can probably work some angles and land everyone a few days at Astrocamp. I know the Lampi boys would simply rock the anti-gravity pool, but watch out for the Gaines' in rocket launching and you know the cookie dough space ice cream would be gone from the Astrocamp canteen. This year my only dilemma is the birth of my firstborn which happens to coincide with the dates already set in early October. It'll be a game time decision. I've got two years worth of records on the lunar rock wall on the line here and some fiesty 7th graders telling me that my reign is over. We'll see...
this post explains why i keep seeing wes staring blankly at the computer screen while hearing phrases like "two minutes till take off" and "six minutes into the flight." Uh oh, he's watching the Discovery launch a-gain!
Reminds me of the tape of the comedian we saw at Jacobs' in May who was at a dinner party. There is this big mouth guy blabbing stories and stories - dominating the conversation at the meal about nothing except himself. Then meekly from the corner of Wes' mouth comes, " I ridden on the space shuttle". You have to have seen the tape to enjoy the humor of this blog comment.
Im with you wes...I taped the launch! AWSOME..reminds me of the days in DAYTONA when we saw one launch!...Mr. Empy would be so proud.
